On Sunday October 18th, Fr Willie Doyle, a Jesuit priest from Dublin, who died while serving heroically as a military chaplain in World War I, took a further step towards beatification and canonisation!

The ceremony in the Cathedral of Christ the King in Mullingar marked the conclusion of the diocesan phase of the process. Fr Willie Doyle is of special interest to our Poor Clare community in Cork as he was instrumental in the founding of our Monastery in 1914. The video is an extract from Bishop Tom Deenihan's words introducing the ceremony on October 18th.
